Issue 1: August 2009

TEXT issue 1 was published by DESA in August 2009 and launched the Association’s publication. This publication was originally intended for the print medium; in fact, the first edition you can see here was beautifully designed with this in mind.

TEXT was a project conceived at the very beginnings of DESA. In 2007, the founding members envisioned a publication platform showcasing the multiple styles of writing of its members. This journal would showcase the critical and writing skills of future researchers, writers and academics and thus engage in a public discourse about questions which are still high on DESA’s agenda.
